Realme X3 SuperZoom is scheduled to be debut in Europe next Tuesday, on May 26. Keeping the hype machine going are a set of camera samples from the phone that show out its impressive hybrid zoom capabilities which go all the way up to 60x thanks to its 13MP periscope module.

The three shots show us the different magnification levels ranging from 1x to 60x with a 5x middle option, which is likely where the purely optical zoom ends. This one in particular looks impressive as it manages to retain fairly good details without much over-sharpening. The 60x zoom shot naturally comes with grainier details but is still perfectly legible.
The X3 SuperZoom is touted as the successor to last year’s flagship Realme X2 Pro and is expected to be released with the Snapdragon 855+ chipset with up to 12GB RAM, a 64MP main camera and a 4,200 mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging.
There’s also the X3 5G in the pipeline which will likely utilize the Snapdragon 765G and will the periscope module and will feature a similar design to the Realme 6 according to a TENAA listing.

The iPhone 11

Apple released iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 for iPhones, iPods, and iPads today. They went live alongside minor software updates for Apple TV and HomePod devices. The iOS update mainly adds new health-related features—most notably the much-discussed Exposure Notification API that was co-developed with Google to help local, regional, and national governments enact contact-tracing strategies to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
Usage of the contact tracing API is user-optional. Additionally, exposure reports require the user to, once again, opt in to the notification, and it can only be done after the positive result is confirmed by one of the government agencies.Additionally, iPhone and iPad users who rely on Face ID to access content or services on their devices will find a new, simplified process for logging in if they are wearing protective facemasks that interfere with the face-scanning technology, as previously reported.
Users of all supported devices will now be able to change Group FaceTime call settings so that, if a participant is speaking at a given moment, they will no longer cause video tiles to automatically change size. iPhone users in the United States can now choose to share some health information stored on their phones automatically with emergency services when calling emergency services.
Below: Images of how the Exposure Notification API works on iOS and Android smartphones.

Finally, there are a few bug fixes in the mix. Both iPhones and iPads got a fix for "an issue in the share sheet where suggestions and actions may not load" and "an issue where users may see a black screen when trying to play streaming video from some websites," according to the update notes. Additionally, iPadOS users are getting resolutions for various security issues, Apple says, "including some that could lead to unexpected memory corruption or stability issues with the Mail app."
Apple also updated tvOS and the HomePod software to version 13.4.5 today (no major new features are listed), and it released iOS 12.4.7 for devices that are not supported by iOS 13. The company pushed out a minor watchOS update for the Apple Watch earlier this week; that update (watchOS 6.2.5) brought certain health-related notifications to users in Saudi Arabia, and it added new rainbow-colored Pride watch faces. Today also saw the seed of the fifth beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.5—an update for Macs that will likely reach the general public before too long
Here are Apple's update notes for iOS 13.5:
iOS 13.5 speeds up access to the passcode field on devices with Face ID when you are wearing a face mask and introduces the ‌Exposure Notification‌ API to support COVID-19 contact tracing apps from public health authorities. Xiaomi MIUI 12 Global version to launch tomorrow, preview some features meant for India

Xiaomi is going to host a global launch event for its MIUI 12 OS for the first time in MIUI’s history. The global version of MIUI is expected to make it to India later this year.

Representative Image: MIUI 11

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Xiaomi will announce its MIUI 12 global version tomorrow.
  • MIUI 12 brings a host of visual and feature upgrades.
  • Xiaomi will release MIUI 12 to most of its current Redmi and Mi devices.
Acouple of weeks ago, Xiaomi announced MIUI 12 in China and compared to the existing MIUI 11 interface, it is a massive upgrade. The Chinese ROM gave us a glimpse of the massive UI changes as well as several new features a majority of Xiaomi’s phones will be getting this year. Many were wondering how long would it take for Xiaomi to bring out its global version and as you read this, Xiaomi has announced its first global launch event for the MIUI ROM tomorrow.
Xiaomi will be announcing MIUI 12 globally at an online launch event tomorrow and similar to its smartphone launches, you can watch it live. Xiaomi India VP Manu Jain also shared a link to the livestream, asking his fans whether they want the latest version of the MIUI in India soon. The event will start streaming from 5:30 pm on Xiaomi’s YouTube channel as well as other social media channels.
Compared to the last few iterations of MIUI, MIUI 12 is a big deal for Xiaomi smartphones. This time, you are not only getting some cosmetic upgrades but a major overhaul that will offer a completely different user experience. Similar to MIUI versions of the past, MIUI 12 will reach all of Xiaomi’s recent premium models, including the Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 10 initially. Xiaomi will gradually release it to its budget smartphones, regardless of the version of Android they are on.
Xiaomi is focusing highly on data privacy with MIUI 12. The OS gets all of Android 10’s security features with Xiaomi’s added touch. MIUI 12 is also certified by TUV Rheinland for its privacy and security features. The navigation gestures are also imported from Android 10, which should make it easier for users to navigate through menus and apps.
Users will also see bigger changes in the user interface. The notification shade has been redesigned with huge buttons and sliders. Animations have been improved across the board to make the entire user experience more fluid. Xiaomi has even added its own live wallpapers, which it likes to call Super Wallpapers. Users will get to apply two live wallpapers based on Mars and Earth that zoom in at different levels based on what screen you are on.
